Ahead of V-March, China Vegan Society traveled across four cities with Emma Robinson, Veganuary Internationalisation Manager, creating space for exchange between global experience and local realities. Over the course of one week, the Vegan City Tour explored how plant-based lifestyles take shape across China, from industry strategies to everyday personal practices.

This January, China Vegan Society is joining forces with Veganuary for a four-city Vegan China Tour, visiting Hong Kong, Chongqing, Shanghai, and Beijing. The tour brings international experience in plant-based campaigns directly to local communities through small, community-focused gatherings, combining relaxed conversations, and shared meals. The tour is a chance to connect, exchange ideas, and be part of the growing plant-based movement in China.

Hosted in Shanghai, the 4th China Vegan Summit brought together leaders and innovators from across industries to discuss the evolving landscape of plant-based health, business, and culture, highlighting new trends, opportunities, and the movement’s growing influence in China.

Over 80% of Participants Plan to Stay Plant-Based After V-March!

V-March, a month-long vegan challenge launched by the China Vegan Society, wrapped up its first year with remarkable momentum—reaching over 7 million people across China and sparking a nationwide conversation about the future of food.

Every year, as the spring equinox arrives, nature awakens, bursting with life and renewal. It’s the perfect time to reconnect with the nature and embrace new beginnings. Starting from 2026, this special day will take on even greater significance as we celebrate China’s first-ever Vegan Day—a milestone for the plant-based movement in China.

At the China Vegan Society, we’re excited to launch V-March in 2025! This month-long vegan challenge is designed to inspire individuals across China to embrace plant-based living, with a supportive community and practical tips to explore a sustainable, cruelty-free lifestyle.

Together with 121 global guest speakers, the summit hosted 12 keynote speeches, over 20 roundtable forums, 13 workshops, 2 open mic sessions, 1 creative pitch competition, 15 Meetups, and an all-day outdoor marketplace.
